The Gleason Model 104 Straight Bevel "Coniflex" Gear Generator is an industrial machine tool designed to produce high-precision straight bevel gears and pinions. It is renowned for manufacturing gears with localized, crowned tooth profiles (Coniflex), which prevent stress concentrations at the edges of the teeth and allow for smoother, more forgiving meshing.
