Stainless Steel Essence Recovery System. Re-boil u-tube capacity: 328 lbs/hr. (1st) Whitlock Hi-Transfer shell and tube heat exchanger/condenser: (222) 5/16 in. dia. x 36 in. L tubes and 65.9 sq. ft. of surface area. (2nd) Whitlock Hi-Transfer shell and tube heat exchanger: (84) 5/16 in. dia. x 36 in. L tubes and 24.7 sq. ft. of surface area. Essence cooler: (12) 1-3/8 in. dia. x 15 ft. L tubes. Essence column dimensions: 11-1/2 in. inner dia x 17 ft. H. System is used to strip feed juices of their flavor by evaporation and to concentrate these esters in a distillation column. Overall dimensions: 6 ft. 1 in. L x 4 ft. 1 in. W x 17 ft. 4 in. H.(HB1).
