THE HOERBIGER 2633996 IS A 1ST STAGE SUCTION VALVE. IT ACTS AS THE "INHALE" GATE FOR THE COMPRESSOR. WHEN THE PISTON MOVES DOWN, THIS VALVE OPENS TO LET LOW-PRESSURE GAS INTO THE CYLINDER. BECAUSE IT IS THE 1ST STAGE, IT HANDLES THE LARGEST VOLUME OF GAS AT THE LOWEST PRESSURE IN THE ENTIRE SYSTEM
