Fette Model Perfecta 3000 Tablet Press, set up as 45-station, 100 Kn main compression, 20 Kn pre-compression, 16 mm max tablet diameter, 18 mm maximum depth of fill, with feed hoppers and force feeders, rated up to 486,000 tablets/hour. Set up for 460 Volt, 3-Phase. Inspection report available upon request. Previously used in nutritional supplement application.
Electrical:
Power was applied to machine; would not run; could manually engage contacts and run main motor and feeders; troubleshot and traced wires from controls to panel; found processor board not seated due to panel being shipped door down and components hanging; reseated the board and could start and run machine; Press has a frequency drive and wires are reconfigured; Jog/Run sequence figured out; white set up button is jog/run; blue unmarked button is jog; drive must be latched to jog machine; you can engage the clutch button/start the drive from the jog and machine will run; e-stop button missing and wires jumped; frequency drive door latch broken; cabinet has loose and not connected wires; door switch magnets are unbolted from the doors and taped to switch bypassing the safety; all the safety components need to be repair or replaced before machine is put into operation; main drive started and ran; clutch engage button starts drive, this machine does not have a clutch, and turret started; turret speed tested; feeders motors started with turret and speed tested; machine will build and held main pressure and precompression pressure; tested while going over machine, no long term tested with pressure was performed; electrical cabinets need new filters, filters are missing and cabinet and components are covered in powder.
Mechanically:
Press was cleaned; turret was cleaned and rust removed; die table has grooves on outer edge; die table was stoned with 120,360 and 400 stones to remove burrs from die sockets and a die installed to test if burrs were removed; no measurements were performed on punch bores and die sockets; all upper and lower punch seals need to be replaced; lower punch retainer and clips need replacing; cams are worn and have damage; weight cam adjustments were hard to turn; weight cam boxes were disassembled, greased and reassembled; pressure roll surfaces have no major damage; feed frames have wear; feed frames were full of powder; feed frames were disassembled and cleaned; scrape off and take off blades need replacing; All feed frame wear items need replacing; clear feed frame window missing; damaged door handles and lock buttons were replaced or repaired; chutes are missing the reject paddles and actuators; hoppers are rough; front short panel has damage need new e-stop; two lower panel/doors need latch stud all need new spring clips.
