Stress relieving all Components

• After fabrication – all components go in an oven and are heat stress relieved – this allows the component to absorb cutting vibrations, this also anneals the component greatly extending its life.– allowing faster cutting times and longer blade life. (see the attached power point)

Isolating the blade drive

• BTM isolates the blade drive – a separate shaft and the use of a brace in front of the drive wheel with a large bearing and two bearings in housing on the head frame – we isolate the gear box from both blade tension and cutting stress. (see the attached power point)

Long Bar Feeds

• In order to make an automatic band saw as efficient as possible a long single stroke bar feed is critical. On the BTM the bar feeds are up to 15 feet in a single stroke and are able to feed incremental. This allows the machine to be faster and more accurate on any automatic sawing operation.

Blade Twist Length

• It is critical for proper blade life to have long twist lengths (distance from the center of the wheel to the blade guide) BTM has the longest twist length I the industry.

• BTM utilizes as many standard “off the shelf” parts as possible – this makes the machines easy to keep running and parts pricing economical.
