The Beckwith M-3425 is a microprocessor-based comprehensive integrated protection system designed for generator applications of all sizes, capable of protecting any prime mover, grounding, or connection type. It exceeds IEEE C37.102 standards for generator protection. This power relay system incorporates a full suite of ANSI protective functions, including over/under voltage (27/59), over/under frequency (81O/U), overcurrent (50/51), directional power (32), loss of excitation (40), phase balance (46), generator differential (87G), reverse power (32R), neutral overcurrent (51N/G), voltage controlled overcurrent (51V), negative sequence overcurrent (46), and synchrocheck (25). It provides metering for voltage, current, power (watts, VARs, VA), power factor, and frequency. Communication capabilities include Modbus RTU and DNP3.0 over serial interfaces (RS-232 and RS-485).
