Are you trying to find the perfect transformer for your needs? No worries, Surplus Record has your back. We have over 5,000+ transformers on our website you can search through!

Searching is easy, you just select the type of transformer you want (i.e.: three phase, single phase, etc.) You can do that by going to our Electrical & Power category list and selecting Transformers or just start typing “transformer” in our main search engine and clicking one of the transformer categories in the drop down.

On the top of that category page (for any category with over 100 transformers) you will find filter options for KVA, Primary Voltage, Secondary Voltage, Manufacturer, and Location.

First Step
We recommend first filtering on KVA and seeing a list of the results. If you want to view all the transformers that have a KVA between 150 and 200, you would enter 150 for KVA low and 200 for KVA high. This will pop up all the 150 KVA transformers, 175, 180, and 200.
If you don’t want to filter on a range, you can enter in one KVA number on the low side and it will bring up all the results that match on that KVA. Keep in mind, this is a KVA search not a MVA search. If you want to find a 15 MVA transformer you would enter in 15000 (just multiply the MVA number by 1,000 to get the KVA voltage)
Second Step
From there, if you want to narrow it down further you can fill in the Primary or Secondary volts. If you’re looking for a transformer that has a step up or step down voltage, you will need to enter in just one of those voltages, either the high or low. For example, if you wanted to filter on a transformer that has a 240/120 primary voltage, you would enter either 240 or 120 in the primary voltage box. If its 480 Delta, you would enter in just 480.
Note: There is a +/- 5% variance in the voltage so if you enter in 14000 voltage in the primary for example, it will find transformers that have primary voltages of 13800. The reason for this is because typically you can make a transformer work for your needs if its within 5% voltage range. KVA is exact, so if you want to find a 95 KVA transformer, you must search 95, searching on 100 will not pop up a 95 KVA transformer. This is why we allow a range.
Final Step
Look through the list of the transformer search results and click “View Details” to see more photos of the transformer (if there any) and other specs. You may also click “Request Price” or “Contact Seller” to get in contact with the seller right away.

One Last Note
You can always filter down your search results by using the “Search by Keywords” within the category page. This will comb through the listing titles and narrow down the results for you even more. For example, if you wanted to look for a “dry” transformer you could enter that in along with a KVA voltage to look at those types of transformers.

You can view a complete list of those transformers here, or most likely you are looking for a three phase transformer or single phase transformer which makes up 95% of all the transformers on our website. Click on one of the links below to search through those.
Need Additional Help Finding a Transformer
We have a list of Industrial Transformer Dealers that specialize in transformers and can help you with any questions or needs you have.
Finally, if you’re having trouble finding a specific transformer, you can always post a “Wanted”, and be sure to check “Buy” and “Transformers” under industry. This will generate an email to our transformer dealers who may have that transformer in stock but are not listing it on the website. This is a free service!
