Mitsubishi Electric MDS-B-V1-20 Servo Drive - New in Package

The Mitsubishi MDS-B-V1-20 is a single axis AC servo drive unit from the MELDAS MDS-B Series, rated at 2.0 kW for use with Mitsubishi HA Series and HC Series servo motors. This drive accepts a 270 to 311 VDC bus input from a compatible MDS-B Series power supply unit and 200 to 230 VAC control power, producing the output required to drive a single feed axis on CNC machining centers, lathes, and other production equipment configured around the Mitsubishi MELDAS M500 control platform.

The MDS-B Series replaced the earlier MDS-A Series and was developed to meet European LVD safety directives, with TUV approval covering the CV power regenerative supply, SP spindle drives, and the V1 and V2 single and dual axis servo drive units. An added power supply emergency stop input allows the external contactor to be directly shut off from the power supply when the NC emergency stop hot line is not active. Compatibility with the MDS-C1 Series allows MDS-B units to be used in the same machine as C1 units without modification.

Common applications include Mazak machining centers and turning centers, as well as other CNC machine tools fitted with MDS controllers and MELDAS M500 numerical controls.
