Hammond Power Solutions Industrial Control Transformer PH500MQMJ

The Hammond Power Solutions PH500MQMJ is a 500 VA machine tool rated industrial control transformer from the HPS Imperator series. It features a multi tap primary configured for 240/480 VAC, 230/460 VAC, or 220/440 VAC input, with a multi tap secondary providing 120/240 VAC, 115/230 VAC, or 110/220 VAC output. The unit operates at 50/60 Hz and carries an 80 degree C temperature rise rating with a 130 degree C insulation class. Designed for high inrush industrial applications where electromagnetic loads such as relays, solenoids, and magnetic motor starters are present, the PH500MQMJ uses encapsulated coils protected by a custom injection molded cover that shields windings and internal terminations from moisture, dirt, and airborne contaminants. Construction includes high quality silicon steel laminations and heavy steel mounting feet welded or bolted to the core. Termination is via combination slot and Phillips number 6 screws with SEMS washers, accepting 18 AWG to 14 AWG solid or 14 AWG stranded wire. The HPS Imperator terminal block design accommodates standard secondary or optional primary 13/32 by 1 1/2 inch midget/type CC fuse clips. The unit is UL listed under file E50394, CE marked, and rated as a 600V class machine tool industrial control transformer. Secondary current is 4.17 A at 120V or 2.08 A at 240V.
