EG & G HP Torque RPM DC Motor MT-5350-108CV

The EG&G Torque Systems MT-5350-108CV is a permanent magnet field DC brushed servo motor stamped with a manufacturing date code of October 1981. EG&G Torque Systems, later operated as MTI Torque Systems and Cleveland Motion Controls (CMC), produced brush and brushless servo motors widely deployed in CNC machine tools, indexers, rotary tables, robotic positioners, packaging machinery, and general industrial motion control applications throughout the 1970s through the 1990s.

Construction includes a square four bolt mounting flange, a keyed cylindrical output shaft, and a side mounted brush access cap for routine commutator and brush service. Two military style round MS connectors are mounted on the rear of the housing, one identified with code C8 intended for tachometer feedback and the second for armature and field circuit termination. The closed rear end cap indicates this unit is not configured with a rear shaft mounted encoder. Closed loop velocity control is supported through the integral tachometer feedback channel.

A blue and silver A 1 Servomotor Repair service tag is affixed to the housing showing service reference number 539018, indicating the unit was previously processed by a third party motor repair facility. The original EG&G Torque Systems stamped aluminum nameplate remains intact.
