AMCI Resolver Interface Module 1743

The AMCI Model 1743 is a multi channel intelligent resolver interface module from Advanced Micro Controls Inc. designed to plug directly into Allen Bradley 1771 I/O racks for use with PLC 5 programmable controllers. Part of the Series 1700 family, the 1743 accepts brushless resolver transducer inputs and converts analog resolver signals into absolute position and tachometer data that is transmitted to the processor over the backplane. The module features a 14 pin transducer input connector, supporting multi turn applications with up to 4,096 counts per turn over a maximum of 180 turns, and single turn resolution of up to 8,192 counts per turn. Position update time is 800 microseconds for multi channel operation. Tachometer update is programmable at 32, 60, 120, or 240 milliseconds with selectable resolution of 1 RPM or 0.1 RPM. Backplane power requirements are 95 mA at 5 VDC and 55 mA at 24 VDC. The module is compatible with AMCI H25, HT 6, HT 20, HT 400, HT 20 (x), and R11X J10/7 transducers as well as Autotech resolvers. Configuration is performed through the integrated front panel keyboard and display, or via PLC block transfer commands without the need for separate software. AMCI manufactures the 1700 series under licensed Allen Bradley I/O interface technology as a Rockwell Automation Encompass partner.
