FEATURES:
The Model 747-2 is a massive, rigid machine made from high tensile strength close grained cast iron. The Model 747-2 is assembled in the USA and inspected in every area to provide years of optimum performance at lower cost.
The ram, turret, column, knee, saddle and table have cross ribbing to insure maximum stiffness. All joints are accurately machined and hand scraped to provide accurate mating and insure the close tolerances for which this machine was built.
In addition, each joint (table to saddle, saddle to knee, and knee to column) is provided with an adjustable gib to insure long life and accuracy.
A few of the standard features on the Model 747-2 included at no extra cost are:
A. Power feed on the vertical quill. Available at all spindle speeds and rated for a 5/8” drill.
B. A one-shot lubrication system.
C. Hardened and ground ways
D. Way covers.
E. Precision Acme lead screws and nuts
F. 3HP continuous duty spindle drive motor.
