Thorlabs Optical Table T48H

The Thorlabs T48H is a Nexus series honeycomb optical table measuring 4 ft x 8 ft x 8.3 in (1200 mm x 2400 mm x 210 mm). The tabletop features all-steel construction throughout, with 5 mm thick stainless steel top and bottom skins and a precision-formed and welded steel honeycomb core that extends continuously from skin to skin without intermediate layers. The top surface is precision-machined to a matte finish with a surface flatness of plus or minus 0.1 mm over any 1 square meter area. Tapped mounting holes are arranged on a 1 in (25 mm) center-to-center grid pattern using 1/4-20 thread, with the hole pattern extending to within 0.5 in (12.5 mm) of the table edge for maximum usable working area.

Dimensions confirmed by photo measurement: approximately 80 in long, 48 in wide, and 8.3 in thick. The isotropic all-steel construction provides excellent thermal stability, as the steel components expand and contract uniformly in all axes to maintain surface flatness across temperature changes. The core design prevents honeycomb intersections at screw hole locations, allowing fasteners to be inserted to the full depth of the table. This tabletop is offered without support legs or isolation stands. Compatible with Thorlabs F1225-series rigid support frames and active isolation leg systems. Suitable for photonics, laser optics, imaging, and microscopy setups requiring a flat, rigid, low-vibration working surface.
