KOCH SBD-60 PTP FEED-THRU TRIM/BORE/GLUE/DOWEL/GROOVING:
• Specifications:
Model BD-60-PTP Double End Automatic operation, for straight work pieces with (2) "Quick Change", independent 5-Spindle Horizontal boring heads on 32 mm centers.
(1) Glue & Dowel Injectors for 6 mm -12 mm dia. x 30 mm - 40 mm long dowels on each side. (1) Hopper Rail Feeding device.
• Stock dimensions:
Stock length 5.5" - 98" (140 - 2,500 mm), Stock width 1.57" - 21.6" (40 - 550 mm) with hopper feed & 600 mm (23.6") with manual feeding, Stock thickness 0.47" - 2.1" (12 - 55 mm) - NOTE: The specified dimensions do not allow all possible combinations.
• Sawing:
(2) Trim saws mounted on the In-feed Frame, with Brass block stops to eliminate edge blow-out.
• Horizontal drilling station:
Each side with (1) 5-spindle drilling unit with 2.7 HP (2 kW) - 2,800 RPM motor, linear guides, drilling depth control.
• Over-head PTP Vertical drilling station:
2 Separate/Adjustable PTP drilling heads. Each drilling head with 28 independent vertical spindles on 32 mm centers; Total length of drill bits 70 mm
(1) "X/Y", NC Controlled 0/90 Grooving Saw Blade mounted on the PTP Boring Head.
• Dowel insertion station:
(1) PTP Dowel injector each side, Dowel dia. 6 - 12 mm, Dowel length 30 - 40 mm, Dowel projection 7 - 14 mm, Dowel center distance min. 32 mm - max. 160 mm.
This machine is currently set up to process 10 mm dia x 40 mm long dowels. Other Dowel sizes can be processed by contacting Koch for availability & pricing.
Mechanical digital read out for height adjustment, self contained glue reservoir & rinsing tank, pneumatic hold down clamps.
• Operating Procedures:
After the drilling cycle is complete, the panel automatically travels to the glue & dowel injector line for the dowel injection;
Function selector control for Sawing only, boring only, inserting only, or sawing, boring & inserting. Injector heads (adjustable), min. center distance 32 mm and max. between first and last injector is 6.3" (160 mm), vibrator hopper with (5) outlet tubes for feeding of dowels, dowel sizes from 6 to 12 mm dia. & 30 - 40 mm in length (Currently set up for 10 x 40 mm dowels).

The stationary machine side is on the left side (seen in transport direction) and not adjustable. The machine is electrically interlocked. Interlocking for production lines is prepared
The machine is equipped with tilting stock infeed belts, These belts move the workpiece through an intermediate hopper to the stock support. Then the workpiece is transported through the working stations by means of cam chains; working pass height 920 mm.
Stock is worked in clamped position; There are stock outfeed belts at the machine outfeed. The workpiece is transferred to the next machine or taken out manually.

· Central lubrication for working units:

· (1) NC controlled positioning of machine RH side (X);
