Description
A pneumatic workholding vise from Kitagawa, a Japanese manufacturer recognized globally for precision machining accessories. The VQA125 MC Air Vise is an air-operated workholding device designed for use on CNC machining centers. It clamps and unclamps automatically using pneumatic pressure, eliminating the need for an external air booster. A built-in check valve retains clamping force after the air hose is disconnected, allowing the vise to remain secure during the machining cycle without a continuous air supply.
Per Kitagawa published specifications for the VQA125 series, the jaw width is 124.5 mm (approximately 4.9 inches), jaw stroke is 195 mm (approximately 7.7 inches), total height is 140 mm, total width is 150 mm, total length is 550 mm, and maximum clamping force is 40 kN. Net weight is approximately 45 kg (99 lbs). The guide block width is 18H7. The unit features a movable jaw and fixed jaw arrangement actuated by pneumatic pressure, with dedicated clamp and unclamp ports visible on the actuator body. Serial number 5163 is stamped on the actuator housing. The orange label on the body displays the Kitagawa brand, VQA125 model designation, and a clamping force versus air pressure reference chart. Made in Japan is indicated on the nameplate label.
