Description
The 2011 Fronius trunnion-style welding cell is a servo-driven cylindrical piece part system designed for steel-to-aluminum applications. The unit features a fabricated base equipped with a Fronius FRT150 motorized headstock with a 150 kg capacity and a constant speed motor. It includes an adjustable length tailstock capable of accommodating workpieces up to 60 inches from the headstock. Two adjustable steady rests provide additional support for long workpieces with both latitudinal and longitudinal adjustment capabilities. The welding station is powered by two Fronius FK 4000 R US Cold Metal Transfer power supplies rated at 400 amps each, integrated with two Fronius welding wire feeders and guns. Mounting points for the guns are located at both the headstock and tailstock ends. The cell is enclosed by a pneumatic operated door equipped with a light curtain safety system. Control operations are managed via a JIC panel featuring a PLC controller. This system is engineered for welding cylinders, shafts with end components, axles, and small tanks.
