The Distech CDIB-103X-01 ECB-103 is a microprocessor-based programmable controller designed for terminal units such as fan coil units, heat pumps, unit ventilators, and chilled ceilings. It utilizes the BACnet MS/TP LAN communication protocol and is BTL-Listed as a BACnet Application Specific Controller (B-ASC). The controller features four universal inputs (UI) that support various input types, including resistance, voltage, and digital signals, providing flexibility in sensor selection. Additionally, it offers four digital outputs (DO) capable of digital, floating, pulse width modulation, and proportional control, suitable for operating valves, heating elements, fans, and lighting applications. Two universal outputs (UO) further enhance its versatility in managing different HVAC components. Operating at 24 VAC/DC 15% with a typical power consumption of 10 VA plus external loads, the ECB-103 is designed for efficiency. It supports a wide range of sensors, including the Allure EC-Smart-Vue series of communicating room sensors, which feature backlit displays and graphical menus for indoor temperature measurement, setpoint adjustment, fan speed selection, and occupancy state override. The controller is also Open-to-Wireless ready and, when paired with the Wireless Receiver, can interface with various wireless battery-less sensors and switches, facilitating wire-free installations. Custom programming is achievable using EC-gfxProgram through EC-NetAX Pro, powered by the NiagaraAX Framework, allowing for the creation of tailored control sequences to meet specific engineering requirements.
