Description

BURKLE 1534-1400 Automatic Pin Press with (2) Trays and Panel Turnover Device. Designed for lamination of pre-shaped and glued panels with PVC & Polypropylene films without the use of a membrane. This configuration allows for cycle times as short as (1-1/2 - 2) Min depending on the 0.3 - 1 mm max. film thickness. -- Platen dimensions: 59" x 134" (1500 x 3400 mm) with 52.3" x 128" (1330 x 3250 mm) Usable tray area, daylight opening 10", max. workpiece thickness 2-1/8", specific pressure 85 PSI. -- End loading with automatic shuttle loading; (2) shuttle tables with automatic "Pin System", shuttle loading tray runs on transport system with automatic movement in-and-out of press for continuous operation. Transport system for the automatic return of the shuttle tray underneath the press; Burkle "Multi-Turning" device for the automatic unloading of finished parts from press -- Platen construction: Solid steel top & bottom platens 90 mm thick (3-1/2") through-bored for thermal oil flow, upper press platen opens-and-closes with pressure from (6) large dia. down stroke hydr. cylinders; 4-1/2" cylinder stroke. -- Electrically heated thermal oil heating system, max. platen temperature of 140 C (288 F); 31 KW power rating for heating. -- Twin-tank vacuum system with high cap. accumulator tank for very rapid draw down of the film over the shaped panels, mounted on top of press. -- Separate electrical control cabinet houses the programmable SIEMENS "SPS" controller and operator control panel, and features error diagnostic via phone modem. -- The concept of working without a membrane allows for forming the film into deep & vertical sided profiles, very small profiles like vein lines, and lipped profiles which are not possible using a membrane. Working without a membrane permits the higher working temperatures required for laminating the environmentally preferred Polypropylene films and saves the expense of regularly replacing damaged/worn membranes. -- Complete with: Lay-up feeding tray station & outfeed station before & after the Press. Each position has an integral lift/lower mechanism providing the upper/lower position of trays. After the outfeed tray is the Turnover Device. At the discharge of the Turnover Device is a belt conveyor which separates the panel allowing the tray to return under the press platens. -- Overall Elec Load/Length/Weight: Total Elec Load is about 51 KW. Length is 14,025 mm (46'). Weight of press is approx 17,000 Kg (37,500 Lbs.)
