Description
The Bridgeport Series 1 vertical mill is a versatile machining tool equipped with a 1.5 HP 2J head and a 9-inch by 42-inch working surface. This machine features an R8 spindle taper and offers an infinitely variable speed range, providing 500 to 4200 RPM in high gear and 60 to 500 RPM in low gear at 60 Hz. The table provides a longitudinal travel of 30 inches with power feed or 31 inches without, along with a 12-inch saddle travel and 16-inch knee travel. The quill allows for 5 inches of travel and includes three power feed rates of 0.0015, 0.003, and 0.006 inches per revolution. Additional specifications include a 12-inch ram travel, a throat distance ranging from 6.75 to 18.75 inches, and a maximum weight capacity of 750 lbs for workpieces. Integrated features include a Delos Digital Readout (DRO), X-axis power feed, and a one-shot lubrication system. The mill operates on 208/230/460-volt three-phase power and has a net weight of approximately 1,930 lbs.
