This 1998 Meco/Bradbury/Butech/Strilich Temper Mill and Cut-to-Length Line is engineered for processing hot rolled steel and features several upgrades. It offers a left-to-right line direction and handles material thicknesses ranging from 0.065" to 0.500". The system is capable of processing coils with widths between 48" and 98", and a maximum weight of 90,000 lbs. Equipped with a closed-loop hydraulic system, it operates at maximum line speeds of 250 FPM below 0.250" thickness and 150 FPM above 0.250". The integrated equipment includes an entry coil storage system, dual expanding mandrel uncoilers with 75 HP drives, and a four-high non-reversing temper mill with 500 HP drives. The line features precision leveling with both heavy and light gauge hydraulic levelers from Bradbury, driven by high-capacity motors. An efficient Butech oscillating shear with quick-change knife capabilities is paired with a Cut Sheet Transfer Conveyor for consistent, high-speed operation. Operational versatility is ensured through features like an inkjet strip marking system and Matthews stenciler, robust control systems, and offline storage conveyors. This line demonstrates excellent integration and reliability, serving diverse industrial demands in sheet metal processing.
