HEESEMANN MFA 10 Wide Belt Sander, for veneer, lacquer, and solid wood sanding;1,600 mm (63") max. working width, 150 mm (5-15/16") working height.Head configuration: (1) Steel Contact Roller, (1) longitudinal segmented polishing platen head, (1) DB-S planetary unit, and (1) Brush roller.Polishing platen head is equipped with HEESEMANN's patented "CSD" selective pressure adjustment system, sensors sense part configuration; pressure for each segment can be pre-programmed to provide less pressure on the outer edges or more in the center if desired. Thickness tolerances of up to 2 mm can be compensated. The "CSD" computer control will hold a maximum of (20) programs.Technical specifications: -- 1st Head: Steel Contact Roller, diameter 250 mm (9-13/16"), driven by 30 kW (40 HP) motor. Abrasive belt speed 24 m/sec (78 FPM). -- 2nd Head: Segmented polishing platen, with inner chevron belt for fine finish sanding, 40 mm (1-7/16") wide segments with computer control to conform to irregular shaped panels, sanding pressure on panel edges is adjustable, platens will accept panel thickness variation up to 2 mm (1/8"). Driven by 22 kW (30 HP) motor, variable abrasive belt speed 2-20 m/Sec (6-65 FPS), 2,620 x 1,620 mm (103" x 63-3/4") abrasive belt. -- Pos. 3 - DB-S planetary brush unit. The unit consists of 5 heads, which carry 2 disc brushes rotating around their axis each. The heads are aligned transversally over the sanding width in a line and rotate around their own axis. Thus two overlapping movements create an even sanding image. Broached wood fibers are simultaneously removed which leads to a smooth surface after coating. In order to change the sanding brushes more easily the unit can be retracted laterally from the machine. -- Pos. 4 - Brush Roller, fiber, 150 mm (6") diameter, 850 RPM, driven by 2.2 kW (3 HP) motor. -- Feed System: ● Constant pass-line height of 880 mm (34-5/8"). ● Vacuum bed assembly to ensure flatness of parts and feeding of small parts. ● Variable feed speed 8-40 m/min.
