Gallmeyer & Livingston Co. Model No. 25 grinder featuring a hydraulic sliding-way table system and auxiliary spindle. The hydraulic feed system provides smoother, more consistent table travel during grinding passes compared to purely manual crossfeed setups, reducing operator fatigue on longer runs and improving surface finish consistency.
The auxiliary spindle allows for expanded grinding operations beyond the primary spindle without requiring a full machine changeover. Gallmeyer & Livingston built grinding equipment aimed at tool room and production grinding work, and the cast construction and dedicated lubrication points on this unit reflect a machine built for sustained daily use rather than light-duty applications.
