The Blue/Gray Component: This is the fan housing base and direct-drive motor assembly. The blue motor sits right in the middle, and the impeller (fan blades) is located inside the lower housing.The Tapered Shrouds: These are the acoustical silencer nozzles / wind bands. If you look closely at the shape, the hollowed-out section inside the shroud perfectly accommodates the motor sticking up from the base.
