Description
The Tennesmith model A3616 is a pneumatic shear designed for high-productivity shearing of mild and stainless steel. It features a maximum shearing capacity of 16 gauge (1.6 mm) for mild steel and 20 gauge (1.0 mm) for stainless steel. The machine provides a maximum cutting length of 37 inches (940 mm). It utilizes heavy-duty, tie rod-type pneumatic cylinders capable of delivering up to 40 strokes per minute at full length. Standard equipment includes a foot-operated air valve control, pressure regulator, air gauge, oiler/condenser cups, and neoprene-padded holddown feet. The shear has a back gauge range of 30 inches (762 mm) and a front gauge range of 37 inches (940 mm). Operation requires a maximum air supply of 75 PSI (1 atmosphere) with an air consumption of 1.1 cubic feet (0.031 cubic meters) per stroke. Power is supplied by a 3 HP motor operating at 230/460V, 3 phase, 60 Hz, with a speed of 1745 RPM. The physical dimensions of the unit are 46-1/2 x 24 x 42 inches.
