THE SOUTH BEND MODEL CL150E "NORDIC 15" IS A GEARED HEAD ENGINE LATHE POWERED BY A 7.5 HP MOTOR. IT FEATURES A 15.25" SWING OVER THE BED WAYS AND A 56" DISTANCE BETWEEN CENTERS. THE LATHE IS EQUIPPED WITH A #D1-6" CAM-LOCK SPINDLE NOSE, OFFERING A 2-1/32" HOLE THROUGH THE SPINDLE. THE HARDENED AND GROUND GEARED HEAD PROVIDES 16 SPINDLE SPEEDS, RANGING FROM 40 TO 2000 RPM. THE MACHINE HAS HARDENED AND GROUND BED WAYS AND INCLUDES 54 LONGITUDINAL CARRIAGE FEEDS FROM .0025 TO .152 IPR AND 54 CROSS-SLIDE CROSS FEEDS FROM .0012 TO .076 IPR. THREADING CAPABILITIES FEATURE 54 U.S. STANDARD CHANGES (1-5/8 TO 96 TPI) AND 41 METRIC CHANGES (.20 TO 10MM). ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS INCLUDE AN 8-3/4" SWING OVER THE CROSS-SLIDE, 9-3/8" CROSS-SLIDE TRAVEL, AND 4-3/4" TOOL-SLIDE TRAVEL. THE MACHINE IS OUTFITTED WITH A TAPER ATTACHMENT, AN 8" 3-JAW CHUCK, A STEADY REST, AND A FULL-LENGTH COOLANT-CHIP PAN. ITS APPROXIMATE WEIGHT IS 2350 LBS, WITH OVERALL DIMENSIONS OF APPROXIMATELY 100" L X 40" D X 66" H.
