THIS CADILLAC CM1440 ENGINE LATHE IS SPECIFIED AS A 14″ X 40″ MACHINE WITH A 14" SWING OVER THE BED AND A 39-1/2" DISTANCE BETWEEN CENTERS. THE SWING OVER THE CROSS SLIDE IS 8-1/4". POWER IS SUPPLIED BY A 3 HP MAIN MOTOR OPERATING AT 1800 RPM, CONFIGURED FOR 220/440 VOLTS, 3 PHASE POWER. THE SPINDLE FEATURES A 1-17/32" BORE, A MT NO. 5 TAPER, AND PROVIDES SIX SPEEDS: 83, 155, 275, 550, 1020, AND 1800 RPM. THE FEED SYSTEM OFFERS 32 LONGITUDINAL FEEDS RANGING FROM .0014 TO .0202, 32 CROSS FEEDS FROM .0012 TO .0175, AND 32 INCH-THREADS FROM 4 TO 58 TPI. TRAVEL LIMITS INCLUDE 9-1/4" FOR THE CROSS SLIDE AND 4-1/2" FOR THE COMPOUND REST. THE TAILSTOCK USES A MT NO. 4 TAPER AND HAS A 5-3/4" QUILL TRAVEL. APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS FOR THE UNIT ARE 83" X 33" X 45" HIGH, WITH AN APPROXIMATE WEIGHT OF 2,650 LBS. STANDARD INCLUDED FEATURES ARE A 5C COLLET CLOSER, FOOT BRAKE, COOLANT PUMP, AND CHIP PAN.
