Description
Used in industrial timing, valve actuation, instrumentation, and process control applications requiring a precise, low-speed drive, the Hurst Model T synchronous gearmotor operates at a fixed 10 RPM output and draws 115V AC at 60 Hz with 7 watts of input power. Manufactured by Hurst Manufacturing, a division of Emerson Electric Co., in Princeton, Indiana, this unit carries part number 2602-006, also known by Grainger catalog number 6Z133. The motor features a permanent magnet synchronous design with a 30:1 gear ratio, a capacitor run circuit requiring a 0.68 MFD run capacitor (date code ZP 4202 visible on nameplate), and is rated for up to 180 oz-in of torque at 175 pulses per second. The reversible geared output shaft is visible in the photos. The unit is housed in a cast and machined steel enclosure with a closed frame construction and includes attached lead wires in red, blue, and black. UL listed (E5357 per published specifications). The 2602-006 is a discontinued product no longer manufactured; replacement units are unavailable from the OEM. Compatible capacitor and wiring requirements should be referenced against Hurst Series T published specifications prior to installation.
