THE NORDSON EFD 626DT IS A 5-LITER (1-GALLON) ANALOG GAUGE FLUID RESERVOIR (PRESSURE TANK). IT IS PART OF THE WORKHORSE 600-SERIES DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A STEADY, PULSE-FREE FLOW OF FLUIDS—RANGING FROM THIN SOLVENTS TO HIGH-VISCOSITY ADHESIVES—INTO DISPENSING VALVES OR SYRINGE BARRELS. UNLIKE LARGER INDUSTRIAL MELTERS, THE 626DT IS AN "AMBIENT" SYSTEM, MEANING IT DOES NOT HAVE BUILT-IN HEATING ELEMENTS; IT RELIES ON AIR PRESSURE TO DISPLACE FLUID FROM A LINER OR A MANUFACTURER’S ORIGINAL BOTTLE PLACED DIRECTLY INSIDE THE TANK.
