Generator Source is one of the largest in-stock suppliers of used and surplus commercial and industrial generators in the United States. We carry diesel, natural gas, and dual-fuel units ranging from compact standby sets up to 4,000 kW and beyond, all 60 Hz, from every major manufacturer including Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler/Rehlko, Generac, Multiquip, and Atlas Copco. Every unit is inspected and reconditioned to our 31-Point Quality Assurance certification before it ships.

We ship nationwide from four locations: our headquarters in Brighton, Colorado, plus branches in Jacksonville and Pensacola, Florida, and Austin, Texas. Our 14-acre Brighton complex includes full machine shop capabilities, overhead bridge cranes, a multi-port service garage, and in-house load bank and dyno testing.

Beyond sales, our staff of electricians, riggers, de-installers, and field mechanics handles generator service, preventative maintenance, rentals, and professional de-installations across the United States and Canada. We have de-installed countless units throughout North America, including jobs up to 20 megawatts and beyond.

Generator Source was founded in 1981 as Diesel Service & Supply and became Generator Source, LLC in 2019, with the original founders still involved. More than 40 years on, we continue to provide quality power generation equipment and the dedicated customer support the business has been known for since day one.
