Detailed Product Description
GE 21000 KW SAXC, 575-625psi/825F Inlet, 170psi Cont Ext,
Spec Sheet: -------------------------------- TURBINE # 112571- MAX RATING
21000 KW/INLET STEAM PRESSURE - 575-625PSI/INLET STEAM TEMPERATURE - 825 DEG F/ BACK PRESSURE 2" HG/ AUTOMATIC EXTRACTION PRESSURE-170-45PSI (reduced controlled extraction pressure with lower loads)/ GENERATOR # 6978309 -RATING 23300 KVA/ VOLTAGE - 13800V/ FREQ - 60 HZ/ POWER FACTOR - 0.95.
THIS IS A 1956 MANUFACTURED GE TURBINE GENERATOR. IN 1988 THIS MACHINE WAS UPRATED AND NEW VALVES, AND NEW 2ND THROUGH 8TH STAGE BUCKETS, NOZZLE, AND DIAPHRAGMS WERE INSTALLED TO UPRATE THE CAPABILITY OF THE TURBINE. THE TURBINE IS NOW CAPABLE TO PASS 325K#/HR INLET FLOW, WITH 200K#/HR EXTRACTION FLOW AT 170PSI, FOR AN OUTPUT OF 21000KW. THIS IS A THREE BEARING MACHINE. A SIMILAR RATING IS AVAILABLE AT 190K#/HR STRAIGHT CONDENSING (ZERO EXTRACTION) AND PRODUCING 21000KW AND WATER RATE OF 9050#/HR/KW.
IN 1994, THE GENERATOR STATOR AND FIELD WERE REWOUND TO PROVIDE AN OUTPUT CAPABILITY OF 23300KVA TO SUPPORT THE FULL LOAD CAPABILITY OF THE TURBINE UPRATE. THE MACHINE WAS DECOMMISSIONED IN 2004 AND PUT INTO STORAGE WITH PRESERVATION AND PERIODIC MONITORING. THIS GENERATOR IS RATED FOR 60HZ AT 13.8KV.
TDS PURCHASED THIS MACHINE IN 2013 AND HAS CONDUCTED A MAJOR INSPECTION AND REPAIRS AS NECESSARY TO COMPLETELY RESTORE THE MACHINE CASING BOLTING, FITS AND MINOR DIAPHRAGM REPAIRS. THE STEAM PATH IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. A COMPLETE GENERATOR INSPECTION HAS BEEN CONDUCTED ALONG WITH COMPLETE HIGH VOLTAGE TESTING INDICATING THE GENERATOR WINDINGS TO BE DRY AND IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THIS MACHINE CAME WITH A FULL SET OF INSTALLATION DRAWINGS AND INSTRUCTION MANUALS.
THE MACHINE HAS A CONDENSER WITH THE UNIT THAT IS CURRENTLY IN STORAGE. THIS CONDENSER HAS SOME BYPASS FLOW CAPABILITY.
THE MACHINE HAS BEEN UPRATED TO TURBONET DASH 1 CONTROLS FROM THE GE MARK 5 CONTROLS. THE EXCITER WILL BE REPLACED WITH A NEW BASLER EXCITER.
